Ghosts of Winter Past 2014

Woot! Woot! Winter is here! Well, not here where I currently reside, but certainly here on some parts of the world...I hope? Yeah, I know what I said the last time I experienced this gloomy season but now I really, really miss snow. Of course, it's so easy to miss when you disregard the cloudy and grey days altogether. But, seriously, the idea of getting snuggled up in an incredibly chunky scarf and throwing snow to your playmates. Or snow angels! Oh, snow angels~ So yeah, obviously I know that we don't get winters here in the tropics. But I really love looking back to these past outfit posts. I love how all the outfits seem to work so well with the snowy background - though most of the items I picked were more summery items. This just proves that you don't have to put away your breezy items in the colder months. (Click the photos to go to the posts)

Have fun with the snow!

Ghosts of Autumn Past 2014

Okay, okay, I know what I said. I said, the last one was the last one. But I thought I'd finish this year first before stopping. Soon it will be autumn in the northern hemisphere of the world whereas in this tropical archipelago I am stuck in an eternal summer. Those golden leaves, the smell of cinnamon and the perfect season to be baking muffins, I will miss them greatly. Heck, I miss them already. Soon the internet will be overloaded with the image of the changing leaves and autumnal rituals. They shall be a great temptation to me but I shall be strong. Oh, scarves, coats and tights. One day, I wish to revisit that time again. Not only that, autumn is the season I part from Firu for Godknows how long. A year, at the least, but two or three is my best bet. He will be in Germany this time next month and I will miss him with all my heart. So, here to all who will be going through autumn. Please use your time well and take at least 15 minutes everyday to appreciate the beauty of this most gorgeous season! (Click on the photos to read the posts!)

Enjoy the golden leaves!

Ghosts of Summer Past 2014

As much as it pains me to say - or, in this case, write -. this is the last seasonal outfit-roundup post I will ever write. Well, never say never but I don't see myself moving to another four-seasoned country in the near future. So, this will be the last of such posts for a while. How fitting to have summer as the parting season I get from this country, seeing as I will live in a country of eternal summers. Well, not quite but if you're a tropical citizen, you will know what I mean. Saying goodbye to all the other seasons got me somewhat emotional. To be honest, I really hate the colder seasons because of all the wind and lack of sun. However, I love the sensations of wearing coats and dressing according to the seasons. And the golden leaves and snow. As much as I prefer to live in a temperature that I'm comfortable in, it's hard not to miss the things you will no longer have.

Ghosts of Spring Past 2014

The beginning of spring has long gone but since I have yet to recap my favourite outfits from spring past, I don't see why I shouldn't do it now that spring is still around. The brief existence of spring last year really got me struggling on dividing the year into four seasons. Luckily, there are still some outfits which look most likely to be spring-appropriate. Spring is the time to bring out all the light jackets and blazers and 20 den tights. It's the time to break out all the colours in the world and not feel out of place. The time you really just want to roll around on a flowerbed and pretend you're Alice - or is that just me? Spring bucket list, eh? Let's see. I'd like to finally finish my current project and move on to other things, hang out with some friends and obviously take loads of pictures by the flowers. Fingers crossed!

Ghosts of Winter Past 2013

I can't believe it's already that time of year again: the inevitable arrival of winter. Though I wished really hard, the snow actually came faster than it did last year. It's somewhere between a relief and bad luck. Today marks the beginning of my christmas and new year holiday. Winter is my least favourite season but the amount of holidays definitely make up for it. It's usually the time I go travelling abroad, though I don't think I'll be going abroad this year at all. This is the first outfit-roundup consisting of two years on the blog. Yaay! I love the pictures because most of them are so clear thanks to my recently obtained Canon EOS 600D. Oh yeah, plans for this season: assignment-ing like crazy (I've got, like, 3 papers to write this semester), seeing some friends I haven't seen in a while whilst visiting new places. Next year will definitely be the year I visit Hamburg! Finally! Right now I'm just excited to see Firu again is all.

Ghosts of Autumn Past 2013

Ah, Autumn, my favourite season of the year. What's not to love about this season? The world looks 1000x more beautiful during these months, my birthday is in autumn and don't forget about Halloween - only the most exciting holiday of the year yet! Gosh, I can't believe three autumns have come and gone since I've stayed in Germany. It's so weird. This summer seemed to really fly by too and suddenly it was nearing the beginning of a new school term. Damn. Bucket list this autumn: take lots and lots of pictures in the red/yellow fallen leaves, wear something awesome on my birthday, come up with so many things for my 21before22 list (oh, God, how many did I manage to accomplish this year?), visit an Oktoberfest, go to a Halloween event somewhere, get pumped about school (this is more like wishful thinking). Outfit-wise, I wish to dress more autumn-y, as opposed to the years before. I'm so excited for autumn but also very sad to say goodbye to summer. I mean, autumn means winter is getting closer. Damn. Hope we get a full-blown autumn this year and not cut short by the blizzard of snow.
