Ah, summer~ It's finally here. When the temperature rises, the sun scorches and the flowers bloom, refreshing beverages are the way to go. For me, lemon has always done the trick. Be it lemonade, lemon tea or whatever else, if it has lemon in it, you can bet i'll go for it. Lemon squash is one that I tend to make at home the most. Usually, it's made by using lemon juice and soda water (or sprite, really) and it's done. But I thought it would be interesting to put a twist on my favourite beverage. It's super easy to make, very refreshing and absolutely eye-catching. Man, I can already imagine myself chilling by the pool with this drink in hand. Though, to be honest, this is an all-year-round drink on this part of the world—if it's not raining.
Ingredients
- 1 lemon
- 1 tsp. red syrup (mine was cocopandan)
- 300 ml soda water
- water (optional)
- First and foremost, squeeze the lemon and pour the juice into a glass
- Add in the syrup
- Pour the soda water into the glass
- Best served chilled!
